As a NoSQL Database Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our CouchDB database. Your role will involve working closely with the legacy CouchDB system, identifying conflicts, improving performance, and ensuring data integrity. Here are the key responsibilities:
Legacy System Management:
Take ownership of the CouchDB legacy system.
Investigate conflicts causing slow bandwidth and speed.
Identify incorrect records and delete them.
Update design documents as needed.
Database Maintenance:
Document the database setup and architecture.
Design indexing strategies for optimal performance.
Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets.
Data Manipulation:
Work with data in JSON format using JavaScript.
Conduct parameter checks to ensure data consistency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data workflows.

3-4+ years of experience in coding/scripting with JSON and JavaScript.
Proficiency in a document-oriented database such as CouchDB, MongoDB, or similar and NoSQL query skills.
Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Experience with data manipulation and optimization.
