Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will:
• Perform pre-site surveys, installation, testing, commissioning, repairs, preventative maintenance, and field modifications (upgrades) on both company-manufactured and third-party electrical equipment.
• Work with a variety of systems, including:
o Low and Medium Voltage (LV & MV) breaker retrofits
o LV & MV testing and commissioning
o Protection and control systems
o LV drives
o Metering solutions
o Transformer testing
o Capacitor bank maintenance and testing
o Bus duct installation and repair
o Switchboard installation, maintenance, and repair
• Use diagnostic and test equipment (multimeters, temperature probes, etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Interact directly with customers, ensuring high-quality service and support.
• Report to the Service Manager and work both independently and as part of a team.

Required Skills & Experience
Education & Experience:
• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Journeyman Red Seal Electrician Certificate or Electrical Engineering Technologist/Engineer preferred.
• 4+ years of field service repair, upgrade, and customer service experience in the electrical distribution service field.
• Experience with utilities, mining & mineral, oil & gas sites is an asset.
Skills & Abilities:
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer literacy with standard business applications (Salesforce experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of quote and proposal creation is an asset.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Superior customer relations and interaction skills.
• Ability to use test and diagnostic equipment confidently.
• Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and a safety-oriented mindset.
