Senior Data Analytics Lead

We’re seeking a hands-on, strategic Senior Data Analytics Lead to help us institutionalize and accelerate our data analytics efforts across global banking payment flows. This role is critical to understanding how transactions move across a complex ecosystem of 120+ applications—many of which are vendor-managed and structurally unique.
You’ll partner with application support, product teams, and global stakeholders to trace, document, and transform how we manage data movement and transformation. This is not consumer banking—it’s high-volume, high-complexity global payments infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead efforts to map and trace payment transactions across 120+ applications (US: 20 apps, 20+ flows; India: 30 apps, 14 flows)
• Institutionalize data analytics practices and documentation across disparate systems
• Partner with global teams (Hong Kong, Japan, China, etc.) to drive clarity and consistency in transaction tracking
• Build and refine Splunk-based analytic reports to visualize transaction paths (e.g., sanctions, fraud, clearing)
• Source and analyze data from SQL (90% domestic, 70% international), logs, Splunk, Datadog, and other ETL tools
• Collaborate with UI teams to hand off transaction definitions and reporting logic
• Apply a PM mindset to help teams deliver faster and more effectively
• Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders (SMRs, SLTs), balancing directness with respect
• Champion a culture of ownership, documentation, and cross-functional partnership

• Proven experience in data analytics
o within banking or payments infrastructure is a huge bonus
• Experience with SQL is essential as is experience with big data tools such as Splunk, datadog or similar ETL tools
• Ability to trace data across multiple applications with varying structures and transformation logic
• Experience with Business Transaction Tracing or Mapping across a broad application landscape.
• Experience working with global teams and navigating time zone overlaps
• Exceptional interpersonal skills—able to influence, drive clarity, and build trust across technical and business teams
• Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

• Experience with Banking and Global Payments is a significant benefit.
• Experience with programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
• Regex knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Visualization capabilities is a plus.
