Job Description

We are looking for a software developer to join our largest financial services client. This person will lead the design, development, and modernization of critical backend services supporting a proprietary risk system Stack and proprietary trading platform. On a daily basis, you will build and enhance Python-based applications, APIs, and distributed services that power front-to-back trading workflows across Global Markets. Partner closely with traders, product managers, architects, and engineering teams to design scalable solutions, improve platform reliability, and drive technical direction for shared services used across multiple asset classes. You will contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, resiliency engineering, and cloud-native development initiatives while ensuring applications meet operational, security, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will help establish engineering best practices, support CI/CD adoption, participate in code reviews, and oversee validation efforts to ensure stable, high-quality releases for mission-critical trading systems.

Required Skills & Experience

- At least 3-6 years years of hands on experience validating and assuring quality of production systems built with Python based backends and React frontends, with a strong focus on reliability, correctness, and user experience.
-Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including object oriented design, microservices architectures, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments, enabling effective test strategy design across the SDLC.
-Proven experience testing distributed systems, event driven architectures, and real time or near real time data pipelines, including failure scenarios, data consistency, and performance under load.
-Skilled in defining and executing test plans, test automation strategies, and quality gates for agile delivery, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
