Job Description

We are seeking two experienced Linux System Administrators to support validation and patching efforts for internal applications in a banking environment. These candidates will be 3 days onsite in either Chicago, IL, Pennington, NJ or Plano, TX. These roles require strong technical expertise in Red Hat Linux. They will be responsible for maintenance, patching, remediation and validation of the applications and will need to follow specific processes. The right candidates will participate in on-call rotation and provide support for critical incidents and maintenance activities. They will document procedures, configurations, and operational processes.

Required Skills & Experience

-5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Red Hat Linux OS and Windows OS
-Proficiency in:
1. Splunk, Dynatrace or BMC BladeLogic for patching
2. Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl).
3. Administer and support Linux servers (RHEL 8, 9) across physical and virtual environments.
-Experience with logging into servers and executing tasks per instructions
-Familiarity with SSO concepts (expertise not required)
-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
-Perform remediation and patching of decommissioned applications
-Execute patching tasks and server logins as directed (no diagnostic or troubleshooting required)
-Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure and stable Linux environments
-Maintain documentation of patching activities and system changes
