Job Description
We are looking for a hands on Java Technical Lead in Pennington, NJ to help build and evolve a modern, cloud native platform within a regulated environment. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including guiding offshore development teams, performing code reviews, and driving engineering best practices.
• Lead technical design and development using Java (primary) and Python
• Write production quality code and contribute to critical platform components
• Conduct code reviews and mentor offshore development team members
• Enforce secure coding, testing, and engineering standards aligned with banking compliance
• Build and maintain microservices and APIs deployed in OpenShift
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and production support teams
• Design applications with reliability, observability, and operational readiness in mind

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong hands on experience with Java in enterprise or financial systems
• Experience using Python for services, integration, or automation
• Proven experience leading developers and performing code reviews
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker / OpenShift)
• Understanding of secure development practices in regulated environments
• Experience in banking or financial services
• Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus, or production monitoring
• Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams
