Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst specializing in healthcare technology to support large-scale, multi-site deployments across hospital and health system environments.
This role will play a critical part in implementing and optimizing solutions that support patient experience, caregiver workflows, and environmental services, including platforms like nutritional services systems (e.g., CBORD NSS) and other integrated healthcare applications.
This is a highly cross-functional, client-facing role working directly with hospital stakeholders, operational teams, and IT to ensure successful system implementation, integration, and adoption.
This is not a traditional BA role — this individual will sit at the intersection of clinical operations, IT systems, and integrations, ensuring data and workflows move seamlessly across healthcare platforms (e.g., EMR systems like Epic/Cerner).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Gather and document business and functional requirements by working directly with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders
Map and optimize healthcare workflows, translating business needs into system and integration requirements
Support integrations with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) by validating data flows such as patient data, ADT, and system interactions
Participate in UAT, go-lives, and deployments across multiple client sites, including onsite support (~50%)
Act as a liaison between business, IT, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment
Create and maintain process documentation, system documentation, and requirements artifacts
Support issue resolution and continuous improvement during and post-implementation
