A Large Media company is seeking an experienced Roku Developer on the Apps Platform & Video team who will work with a team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of the company's flagship applications. The team offers a unique opportunity to work alongside collaborative professionals who are building applications used by millions of users daily. Members of this team work with their peers
on the Core Apps Android and Apple experiences teams to improve developer efficiency and
feature velocity by reviewing and updating our tools, workflows and build processes along with
building a scalable, reliable app architecture.
Responsibilities of this role include partnering with peer engineers to innovate, develop, and scale the application architecture. A core function of this team is leading engineering initiatives that improve developer experience and feature velocity. This team will also work on some feature development which will result in collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, design, scope, and ship new features. This will also include partnering with backend teams. Another core function of this team is focusing on promoting best practices in a few areas: UX/UI, documentation, unit testing, etc.

Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of experience developing enterprise level Roku apps
High proficiency & technical leadership with Bright Script and Scene Graph
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
Familiarity with the Roku ecosystem, including capabilities, limitations, and best
practices across devices
Solid background writing unit tests
Comfortable working with Git, Jenkins and Jira
Familiarity with Jenkins and continuous integration pipelines
Excellent technical written and spoken communication skills
