Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer to support critical infrastructure remediation and modernization efforts. This role will focus on Linux environments, EOL system upgrades, patching programs, server builds, and storage support. The ideal candidate is a strong, hands on engineer who can operate independently, support legacy systems, and help modernize infrastructure through upgrades and new builds.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in enterprise environments
• Strong experience with:
o Linux (Red Hat preferred)
o Server patching and OS upgrades
o VMware vSphere
•Experience supporting production infrastructure and remediation initiatives
•Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
•Experience supporting EOL remediation and infrastructure modernization
•Ability to work independently in fast paced environments
•Support remediation of End of Life (EOL) systems across infrastructure
•Work closely with project leadership to meet remediation timelines
•Support virtualized environments using VMware vSphere
•Assist with primary storage platforms, with emphasis on Hitachi NAS
•Support or integrate with backup platforms (NetBackup, Avamar, Networker)
•Use scripting to assist with automation and deployments (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Storage experience, especially Hitachi NAS / primary storage
• Backup and recovery tools (NetBackup, Avamar, Networker)
