Job Description
This role is responsible for leading the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program, with accountability for the design, delivery, and ongoing operation of enterprise identity governance and access control capabilities. The IAM Manager serves as a highly technical leader, ensuring identity lifecycle management, access governance, and authentication services are reliable, scalable, and aligned with security and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on IAM engineering experience with strong people leadership, remaining actively involved in solution design and problem resolution while leading and developing an IAM team. This role operates at the intersection of security, infrastructure, application, and business teams to ensure identity services effectively support business operations while reducing security risk.
IAM Engineering & Technical Leadership
Provide hands-on technical leadership for IAM platforms and services, including identity lifecycle management, access governance, and authentication controls.
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of IAM solutions supporting joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes, access provisioning, deprovisioning, certifications, and role management.
Oversee integrations between IAM platforms, directories, HR systems, cloud services, and enterprise applications to ensure accurate and timely identity governance.
Remain actively involved in solution design, configuration, troubleshooting, and complex issue resolution related to IAM platforms and integrations.
Define and enforce IAM architecture standards, design patterns, and operational best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and security.
Operations, Risk & Governance
Ensure timely resolution of all IAM related Incident & Service Requests.
Partner with security, infrastructure, application, and compliance teams to ensure IAM controls meet security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Support access reviews, certifications, and audit activities, ensuring IAM evidence is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Monitor IAM operational health, identify risks or control gaps, and drive remediation efforts to closure.
Support platform upgrades, enhancements, and modernization initiatives to improve IAM reliability and capability maturity.
Communicate technical risks, dependencies, and operational status to leadership and stakeholders.
Team Development, Enablement & Documentation
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IAM engineers and analysts, providing technical coaching and guidance.
Support hiring, onboarding, and development of IAM talent to meet current and future operational needs.
Set team priorities, manage workload, and ensure delivery of IAM initiatives and operational support.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of IAM processes, standards, integrations, and operational procedures.
Promote a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture within the IAM team.

Required Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Licenses/Certification/Registration: Expert level cybersecurity/IAM certification such as CIAM, CIDPRO, CISSP, CCSP, CASP, CISM, etc.
Experience:
Ten years of experience in IT/Cybersecurity, minimum of seven years’ experience in Identity & Access Management, at least three years’ experience in a leadership or people management role (team lead, manager, or similar).
