A large financial client is looking for a Wire Transfer Specialist to join their organization. This person will be joining the Wire Room team which is part of the larger Banking Operations organization. They will be assisting with all wire operations, investigations and any system testing.
Responsibilities will include:
- This person will be reviewing manual wires daily for completeness and accuracy. For electronic wires, they will monitor the repair que and correct any wires that come through the que.
- They will communicate with the various Service teams as needed for any questions on wires in the que.
- They have to review investigations cases from the wire investigations team. This can entail recall of funds, recall of wires, clients reporting they havent received a wire or any other issue. The investigations team would send out messages through a Bank Secured Message or Swift. This person will step in if investigations team needs verification of wire set up or to ensure the right account information.
- This person will be ensuring the right GLs are being impacted by ensuring they are getting the right debits and credits. If there is a discrepancy, they will need to create a journal entry to correct it. Once GLs are signed off on, this person will upload it into the storage systems every morning.
- They will be participating in the implementation of ISO. They are responsible for testing the software that the vendor is providing. They need to create test scenarios and work on test scripts. They can communicate with the fed to create testing time slots. They will fill out documents for the Fed and create wire tests to ensure the system works properly.
- They will be assisting management with creation of procedures, exception processing and reallocating resources for various volumes. This could entail exception processes or adjusting personnel coverage in various groups.
This candidate would need to be flexible to a rotating schedule. There is a 9-5 shift and occasionally there is a shift from 10-7. This person would also have be flexible to occasional weekend system testing that happens 1-2x a quarter. This role is 3 days on site.

- Understand formatting of wire transfers
- Understanding of ISO Standards/New Payment Format
