Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Production Planner to join an operations team for a large defense contracting company out of Clifton, NJ. This team is looking for a candidate to support hardware manufacturing and aftermarket operations by planning, coordinating, and tracking production activities across the full product lifecycle. This role is operational and focuses on physical hardware movement, aftermarket unit flow, and system based tracking. The planner will work from production specifications and system data to ensure material, labor, and capacity alignment with delivery requirements. They will plan, schedule, and track the flow of physical hardware units through manufacturing, inspection, test, repair, and return-to-inventory processes; manipulate and analyze production and inventory data to monitor status, cycle time, and closure against commitments; manage the aftermarket process flow including receipt of customer, inspection, lab entry, test station routing, and closing inspections; monitor work in progress, inspection results, and ontime closure from a systems perspective; partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program teams to resolve schedule disruptions. This is going to be a fully onsite role in Clifton, NJ.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in production planning or engineering in a hardware manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or regulated industrial environments
Strong ability to manipulate, analyze, and track production date within ERP/MRP or manufacturing systems
Experience working with physical hardware movement (electric warehouse, lab, test, assembly, repair, etc. for complex products)
Intermediate professional with boots on the ground ability while managing priorities under moderate supervision

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong MS 365 and Excel experience for reporting, inventory, and lifecycle tracking
