Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Facilities Engineering Project Manager to join a core operations facilities team out of Clifton, NJ for a defense technologies company. The goal of this team is to maintain and execute facilities and infrastructure projects across a large, mission-critical campus environment. This role blends technical facilities engineering with program and project management and solutioning, owning the scope, cost, schedule, and technical alignment from concept through close-out. The ideal candidate will have managed similar facilities in the field previously, and can readily read and challenge roadmaps, timelines, and partners to make informed decisions when issues arise. They will own end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent facilities engineering projects and balance priorities across a portfolio of $20-$30M in annual work. They will be the single point of accountability for these programs and manage internal trades, external contracts, vendors, and business stakeholders. They will compare design intent to field execution and confirm measurement of success. In order to be successful, this person will have previous program/project management experience in a facilities environment, and hands-on experience as a facilities engineer. They will be responsible for the safety, security, environmental, and compliance requirements for a secure facility. This person will be onsite 5 days a week on a 9/80 schedule.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years of Project Management experience managing facilities or in an industrial, manufacturing, campus, or large commercial environment setting
- Strong understanding of electric/power systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, civil/building infrastructure, and subcontractor coordination
- Previous success managing multiple $1M+ programs and vendor contracts simultaneously and working with cross functional teams for successful and timely outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to:
○ Read and interpret plans, specs, and technical documentation
○ Break down scopes of work and challenge assumptions
○ Make educated decisions when problems arise in the field
- Background in end-to-end secure and regulated facilities program engineering and/or management and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience as a facilities engineer

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with NAVFAC and MARFORPAC
- Prior work in facilities supporting clean rooms, backup/emergency power systems, and fiber infrastructure
