Job Description

One of Insight Global's hospital clients are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grants Accountant to join their finance team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with grant regulations, and strong analytical oversight. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of accounting theory, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to guide staff in the absence of the manager.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years’ experience in general accounting or grant accounting

Background in sponsored project (post‑award) administration or professional-level accounting, including reconciling discrepancies, analyzing expenditures, and preparing detailed financial reports

Hands-on experience with account analysis, balance sheet reviews, journal entry preparation, and bank reconciliations

Proficiency with spreadsheets at an intermediate level and familiarity with ERP/GL financial reporting systems

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with at least four years of progressive accounting experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Hospital or healthcare accounting experience
