Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (level 1 or 2) for a major healthcare client to support operations at their main health campus in South Jersey. This role involves working independently in nuclear medicine within a multidisciplinary team and 5 other Nuclear Medicine Technologists on four cameras in the main hospital. Support for MD Anderson is required for level II techs on an as needed basis. Key responsibilities include operating SPEC/CT scanners to obtain detailed images to assist in diagnosis and planning treatments. Nuclear Medicine Technologist are responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive drugs- isotopes) through injection, inhalation, or oral administration. The Tech will perform a wide range of general nuclear medicine procedures in the hospital setting, including gastric emptying studies, bone scans, renal imaging, thyroid and salivary gland scans, sentinel node injections, therapeutic administrations, stress testing for inpatients, and gallbladder scans. They will also be responsible for PET/CT scans conducted at MD Anderson. Level I techs are not permitted to compete PET exams without CT licensure or an image fusion license. Obtaining the image fusion or CT license is required within 6 months to a year of hire. The company will help facilitate training and cost of licensure. Techs are additionally responsible for preforming quality control on the imaging equipment (Siemens equipment) and proper documentation in EPIC. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week, with typical hours of 9-5 with flexibility. Following permanent conversion, on-call will be required.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
• NMTCB Certification OR ARRT (N) Certification
• At least 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine
• CPR Certified

• Epic Experience
• CT License or Image Fusion License (level II requirement)
