Insight Global is seeking a Performance Engineer II to join our telecom customer for a 12-month contract. This role involves taking over functionality from centralized teams and focuses on performance testing and validating internet broadband. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of broadband, performance methodologies, as well as experience with speed test architecture, TCP and UDP differences, and performance monitoring (including download/upload speeds, packet loss, and latency). A suitable candidate will manage and interpret data, packaging it for less technical stakeholders, and work on improving an existing model to enhance its operation. Familiarity with internal systems and external tools like HUCLA/B-test/.Net is ideal. Preference will be given to candidates with wireline network experience and knowledge of FIOS and wireless/wired telecom.
