Insight Global is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a top government contractor to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in accounting, financial planning, and internal controls, with a strong background in leadership and operational finance. This position is to cover while current Employee is out on leave. Compensation ranges from $60-70/hr based on years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and review journal entries and manual journal entries.
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage disclosure reporting through Webforms and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate quarter-end reporting, including:
Balance Sheet and P&L flux analysis
EAC (Estimate at Completion) change reviews
Representation letter process
Supervise account reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy.
Monitor AR aging and cash collection processes.
Provide oversight for year-end physical inventory counts.
Analyze AP aging and its impact on suppliers, including potential holds.
Support various government-related financial issues and concerns.
Lead SOX compliance efforts and collaborate with the ICFR team on control environment improvements.
Review contract and modification worksheets for revenue recognition purposes.
Prepare for and manage the year-end close process.
Analyze rates and their financial impacts.
Ensure compliance with corporate sales and use tax submissions.

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
810 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
Prior experience as a Controller or in a similar senior financial leadership role.
Demonstrated experience managing personnel and leading finance teams.
Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and support multiple stakeholders.
