Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient CADD Technician (Digital Design Specialist) to join the digital design team at a top engineering client. This role involves generating and maintaining BIM models, coordinating across disciplines, and producing high-quality documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and is comfortable navigating complex design software. Day to Day
- Work under the supervision of an Architect, Engineer, or other technical professional to support a specific discipline
- Generate and maintain BIM elements based on project scope and LOD outlined in the DDP
- Accurately model BIM elements within spatial constraints using current 3D software
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Maintain discipline models including project data, coordinates, orientations, match-lines, views, and sheets
- Produce discipline-specific documentation with precise annotations
- Monitor and improve model health and ensure adherence to company standards
- Coordinate with other discipline models through design reviews and 3D coordination processes
Assist with or execute additional digital delivery requirements as needed

The compensation for this role ranges from $22/hr to $24/hr depending on skillset, education, and years of experience. Benefits are also offered for this role.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
- Technical degree or 3+ years of experience in a related industry (architecture, engineering, or design)
- Proficiency in 3D design software and document management infrastructure (Ex. AutoCAD, Revit, etc)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with 3D Coordination tools (Ex. Navisworks, Revizto, BIMcollab)
- Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
