Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager for one of our top clients in Sparks, NV. This person will be joining their self-perform team consisting of 75 craft and field laborers, a Superintendent, Project Coordinator, and several foreman supporting their SEMI expansion which is the build of a semi-manufacturing facility. About 50% of their day would be spent out in the field in full execution mode communicating with the craft labor, talking with other project managers, and verifying quality of the project. They will also be utilizing tools like Revizto, NavisWorks, and Revit to go through models that are passed to them, understand how to route the pipes, and properly plan out the work to be performed while also coordinating with the manufacturing team.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage Mechanical Systems: Oversee the planning, procurement, execution, and close-out of mechanical systems, including process systems, HVAC, and plumbing.
Develop Execution Plans: Ensure cost and schedule expectations are met through detailed execution plans.
Constructability Reviews: Perform reviews during design development to ensure engineering documents meet project needs.
Create Work Packages: Collaborate with the Procurement team to create biddable work packages and verify contractor proposals against cost/schedule estimates.
Ensure Quality and Safety: Maintain high levels of quality and safety during field execution.
