Electrical Project Manager

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Project Manager for one of our top clients in Sparks, NV. This person will be joining their self-perform team consisting of 75 craft and field laborers, a Superintendent, Project Coordinator, and several foreman supporting their SEMI expansion which is the build of a semi-manufacturing facility. This person will be assigned to base build the electrical systems for the project and then the tooling team will make the final connections to get all electrical components up and running. They will be reading electrical diagrams, having educated discussions with the engineering team to challenge designs and scheduling and coaching the team on how to accelerate the schedule. All of the systems that they would be supporting are 120V-480V above ground level.


Job Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with project superintendents to establish project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Design Collaboration: Work closely with the design team, architects, and engineers to review plans, specifications, and drawings. Provide constructability input during engineering design reviews.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, local authorities, and industry standards.
Site Management: Track site execution and inspections to ensure work is performed according to safety guidelines and quality standards. Expedite solutions to design clashes while coordinating with the design team for the best path forward.
Problem solving: Ability to solve complex problems, multitask effectively, and prioritize project objectives

Must Haves:
- 3+ years of Electrical Project Management experience
o Familiarity with panel schedules
o Ability to read drawings (single line, 3D, etc.)
o Engineering or construction management background
- Proficient in Excel, MS Project, and P6
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or related field

Plusses:
- Experience using Procure

Compensation:
$42/hr to $65/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
