Job Description
The Senior Electrical/Protection Engineer will support the design, specification, programming, testing, and commissioning of protection systems for generators, transformers, transmission lines, and distribution equipment. This role also supports plant electrical systems, troubleshooting, and NERC compliance activities across power plants.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience with PE license, with experience in power generation, transmission, or distribution
Strong knowledge of protective relaying, system protection fundamentals, and relay coordination
Hands‑on experience troubleshooting electrical and control systems
Working knowledge of NERC Standards for Generator Owners/Operators
Ability to read/create electrical drawings and technical documentation
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to travel ~25% to domestic plant sites
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians
Proficiency with electrical modeling software (ETAP preferred)
Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E
Experience analyzing electrical equipment failures and proposing long‑term solutions
Previous work in power plant environments
Experience preparing test plans and performing relay testing
