Job Description

The Solar Tech II will be responsible for all maintenance and operation of assigned utility scale generation solar project to ensure optimal generation performance of the company's solar photovoltaic (PV) plant portfolio. Overall responsibilities will include perform preventive and routine maintenance on solar equipment, monitor site and maintain records of completed tasks and equipment status. Troubleshoot solar equipment with minimal help and supervision. The Solar Tech will work closely with the Lead tech and entire team to safely achieve overall Solar performance goals. Lastly, this person will be traveling between 2-3 solar sites throughout the Las Vegas Metro area.

Required Skills & Experience

-3+ years of experience as a Solar Technician (solar facility maintenance/repair or electrician)

-Working knowledge of solar power plants

-Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather

-Willing to work nights during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities

-Tech savvy as well as experience with basic hand tools

-High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent required

-Valid driver's license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-SCADA experience

-AAS Degree in Electrical Technology, or equivalent Solar Certificate Programs
