Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Automation Engineer to support a major data center client. This individual will take the lead on automation projects and the onboarding of new network products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in scripting, orchestration, and modern infrastructure technologies.

This is a hands-on role responsible for evaluating, designing, configuring, and implementing advanced network solutions, while also mentoring junior team members and developing documentation and training resources. Youll serve as a senior technical escalation point and participate in an on-call rotation.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of network engineering experience (4+ years with CCNP-level certification)
Deep hands-on experience with network automation tools and frameworks:
Python, GitHub, CI/CD, NSO, Intential, Glueware, Pipelines, Workflow Engines
Strong scripting and IaC experience
Solid routing/switching experience:
OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF, HSRP
Cisco IOS, NX-OS, SD-WAN, VPNs (IPSec, GRE, DMVPN), Firewalls
Proficiency with 802.11 wireless technologies
Network security best practices:
dot1X, ACLs, CoPP, AAA (TACACS, RADIUS, Cisco ISE)
Automation:
Ansible, Nornir, NETCONF/RESTCONF, Yang Models
Microsoft Visio proficiency
Familiarity with ServiceNow, Splunk, and monitoring tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Cisco DevNet certifications
Experience with LogicMonitor, load balancers, Linux OS
