We are seeking a skilled Outside Plant Engineer to join the OSP team in the Las Vegas market for one of our telecommunications clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering both routine and specialized OSP work orders, including distribution and feeder networks. This role requires both administrative and field support capabilities to assist OSP construction and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end OSP network projects, including maintenance and fiber relocation initiatives.
Lead large-scale deployments, optimizing productivity through effective vendor management and resource allocation.
Communicate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate project deliverables.
Collaborate with contractors, developers, municipalities, and consultants to ensure project alignment and compliance.
Develop innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and network performance.
Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure to maintain high reliability within budget constraints.
Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including cost analyses, specifications, forecasts, route maps, requisitions, and business justifications.
Handle administrative tasks such as processing reports, vendor invoices, and material receipts.
Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment in managing complex assignments.
Balance multiple priorities and respond to shifting demands in a dynamic work environment.
Lead rapid response efforts during network outages, coordinating resources to ensure timely restoration.
Current focus area includes Las Vegas and surrounding regions. Standard work schedule is 40 hours per week, with occasional travel, extended hours, and weekend work based on business needs.
