Job Description

Day-to-Day:
An enterprise insurance employer is looking for a group of Senior Data Engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain scripts and jobs that are required to extract, transform, clean, and load data into operational data stores. A key focus will be on rewriting DataStage legacy scripts and refactoring them into Python. This role will also provide mentorship and technical support to less experienced designers and serve as a project technical lead for mid-sized data projects.

This position offers a salary of $100,000 - $130,000

Required Skills & Experience

Must-haves:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
8 + years of Data Engineering experience
8+ years of experience using ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage
2 + years of experience with Snowflake
2+ years of experience with DBT
2+ years experience developing or deploying data solutions in a cloud environment (AWS, Google or Azure all acceptable)
6+ years of SQL experience
Proficient at writing queries from scratch
Proficient at performing date analysis, including forecasting dates
Experience rewriting legacy scripts and refactoring to Python

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred:
SQL programming in a DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle environments
Workday programming experience
Experience with Docker/Jenkins
Experience mentoring or leading others in a technical environment
