Job Description

A Fortune 250 oil & gas client is looking for a Project Engineer to join an engineering team in Omaha, NE. The team is responsible for upgrading, expanding & developing new metering & regulation stations. This engineer will work daily to create sketches in Bluebeam with estimates & an written up scope of work. Those will then be passed onto the design team to draft the sketches into AutoCAD 3D for the engineer to then review. They will also be responsible for materials and addressing construction questions. It will be helpful for them to be familiar with working in previous industries involving large equipment. Once the projects are fully commissioned, they will be passed off to another team. This individual is expected to be confident, self-motivated and naturally driven, a good communicator, and a hard worker. If this individual is interested in Field Engineering work, that opportunity may present itself after 1 year of working with the client. The client is also open to assisting individuals in getting their PE in the future.

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years+ of working experience can include intern experience or relevant experience during school.
Engineering degree
o Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil
Must be interested in project-based engineering and NOT research, experimental work, or product design.
Must have interest in the energy sector or fluid dynamics.
Experience working with the following tools:
o Bluebeam
o AutoCAD 2D or 3D
o Revit
o SolidWorks
o Creo

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous experience at a process plant, power plant, refinery, or experience working with mechanical equipment.
Prior utility or pipeline experience
