Must Haves:

* Bachelor's degree: Computer Engineering or Information Systems or related/equivalent combination of education and experience

* 5+ years of experience in database administration or database engineering, with deep technical knowledge in the following:

* database administration, database engineering, OS level configuration and administration, software engineering, database architecture, data integration and data processing.

* Proficient Linux OS systems and Windows or Shell/PowerShell scripting.

* Transact SQL Scripting

* Cloud Experience -- Azure/AWS

* Linux

* Oracle



Plusses:

* Master's degree in management information systems, Information Systems or Computer Science

* Familiar with Big Data and NoSQL technologies.

* Familiar with unstructured data and data types.

* Working experience with Business Intelligence and Database monitoring tools:

* Tableau, PowerBI, IBM Cognos, Informatica, SSIS, OEM, Idera, and Erwin Data Modeling tool



Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking talented Sr Database Engineers to join our Database Administration team within the Technology & Security Business Unit. The team is comprised of 5 individuals. The Senior Database Engineer is responsible for maintaining the security of an organization's network databases, life cycle management and upgrading database infrastructure. They assist in design of database systems according to business requirements and needs, conducting multiple quality checks before releasing the final outputs for high functionality. The Senior Database Engineer must have excellent technical skills, as well as extensive knowledge of programming languages and database administration, to create efficient system networks. The Senior Database Engineer will collaborate with peers, application and data solution development teams as well as infrastructure, networking, cyber and support teams to support the delivery and maintenance of high-quality enterprise software solutions. The Senior Database Engineer will support the roadmap for RDBMS and other technologies at the organization.

Required Skills & Experience
