Job Description
Analyze legacy GIS and CAD data and determine the most cost-effective and efficient manner and method to perform a cabling modernization
Conduct site surveys to document and assess existing infrastructure conditions and make recommendations for improvement
Draft layouts, designs, and schematics for outside plant cabling systems using BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, GIS, or other design software
Engineer the complete modernization of campus-wide OSP fiber connectivity installations including buried and aerial applications
Conduct quality assurance inspections of installed systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Assist in the development of project plans and timelines for installation projects
Provide technical support and training to clients on system installation, operations, and maintenance
Salary ranges from $80-110,000 based on experience

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in telecommunications project installation and or design
Demonstrate knowledge of low voltage systems, wiring techniques, and layout design principles
Proficiency in using AutoCAD for drafting schematics and layouts is a plus
Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and BICSI best practices
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong communication and technical skills
BICSI RCDD or OSP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
