Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst to support a large enterprise client operating within the SAP ecosystem. This individual will play a critical role in building and maintaining ERP‑based financial reporting solutions, with a strong focus on SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) and advanced SQL. The ideal candidate is a senior‑level analyst who understands how data fits together across systems, partners closely with business stakeholders, and delivers both reports and long‑term data solutions. This role is highly collaborative, hands‑on, and best suited for someone who thrives in complex enterprise data environments.
Day‑to‑Day:
• Design and enhance SAP BusinessObjects universes using IDT (Information Design Tool)
• Read and troubleshoot SQL generated from BOBJ reports to identify data issues
• Build and maintain ERP financial reports pulling from SAP and integrated systems
• Support business units by translating business needs into reporting and data solutions
• Partner with users to understand why data is needed and recommend better solutions
• Build reports in BOBJ and dashboards in Tableau for executive‑level visibility
• Help automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility
• Take direction on data design and implement solutions independently

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–10+ years of advanced SQL experience (writing, troubleshooting, optimization, and reading complex queries)
• Experience pulling data from multiple sources for reporting (ERP-based environments)
• Tableau, Power BI, or similar dashboarding/visualization tools
• Strong data acumen – understanding data relationships, architecture, and business impact
• Experience supporting financial data and enterprise reporting
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) experience
· SAP ecosystem integrations (Ariba, Fieldglass, Prism, Concur, Jira, etc.)
· BusinessObjects Information Design Tool (IDT) experience
· Star schema or similar data modeling experience
· Experience designing historical financial data models
· Python or other programming experience
· Experience with utilizing AI and automation to create efficiencies in workflow
