Job Description
An AI Consulting firm is looking for an GenAI Solutions Manager for greenfield product development. They will be building industry-specific AI solutions (Healthcare, BFSI) from scratch. The goal is to create reusable frameworks that the company can coinvest in with pilot customers. This team is building a “start up” within the company to be the GenAI brains of the company. They are hiring the smartest, most creative, “out of the box” thinkers, and passionate AI individuals to join their “incubator” team. This will be an “incubator” filled with GenAI engineers, GenAI Product Managers, etc. that will research and brainstorm the latest and greatest GenAI technologies and services so that they can recommend what Perficient should go to market with. There will be a lot of brainstorming, prototyping, and fun conversations. Personality is KEY here. They will also be joining customer meetings as the technical POC to help solve customers’ problems. The day to day will be 60% Hands-on Engineering: Building production-grade AI/ML pipelines and reusable frameworks, 20% Forward Deployed Engineering: Working directly with pilot customers to validate the solution and integrate real-world feedback, 20% Architecture & Strategy: Designing for scalability—turning a specific client solution into a reusable product. - Research and validate emerging AI technologies - Build internal AI accelerators and tools - Conduct feasibility experiments for complex problems - Support delivery teams with specialized expertise - Maintain a validated library of next-generation capabilities - Improve internal operational efficiency through AI tools - Reduce technical risk for delivery teams - Sustain a continuous pipeline of technical innovation
A hands-on senior AI engineer who leads a pod's technical delivery while writing production code every day.
- Engineer first: You build. This isn't a role where you oversee from a distance.
- Technical decision-maker: You own feature-level architecture and implementation choices, operating within guardrails set by the Principal SA.
- Bridge between business and engineering: You take client goals and turn them into clear, prioritized engineering work for your pod.
- Accountable for what ships: The pod's technical quality and delivery are yours to own.
Who we're looking for: An AI-first engineer who's built AI with AI, not someone learning AI on the side. You've led a small engineering team, driven technical direction on a project, and never stopped being the person who writes the code.
