Cardinal Ritter Senior Services is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead a 122‑bed Memory Care community, overseeing all nursing operations and staff. This role is critical as the organization looks to implement a culture change focused on accountability, quality care, and team cohesion.

The DON will provide full nursing oversight across CNAs, LPNs, and RNs, ensuring regulatory compliance, resident safety, and high clinical standards. This is a high‑impact leadership role requiring strong judgment, communication, and operational expertise.
You will partner closely with leadership—including the Chief Business Officer, Sarah—while managing day‑to‑day nursing operations independently.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, coach, and develop all nursing staff
• Oversee clinical care for up to 122 memory care residents
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and CRSS standards
• Conduct routine rounds and audits to maintain quality of care
• Oversee admissions, assessments, and care plan development
• Review staffing schedules to maintain proper coverage
• Ensure incident reports and investigations are completed within 24 hours
• Serve as liaison for resident and family concerns
• Maintain administrative nursing documentation and chart audits
• Drive accountability related to attendance, performance, and conduct
• Support survey preparation and plan of correction processes
• Promote a positive, respectful, and mission‑driven culture

Leadership & Oversight
• Oversight of all nursing personnel (CNAs, LPNs, RNs)
• Direct responsibility for resident care, safety, and clinical standards
• Coordination with Human Resources on hiring, performance, and discipline
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary departments across CRSS

Required Skills & Experience

Must‑Have Qualifications
• Active RN license (LPN considered)
• Prior experience in Senior Living / Assisted Living / Memory Care
• Proven ability to oversee nursing staff (CNAs, LPNs, RNs)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience with admissions and care level assessments
• Ability to drive culture change within a nursing department
• Must pass Family Care Safety Registry
• Clean PPD and X‑ray
• Comfortable using Tennessee/Tipa Snow systems (or similar)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Previous Director of Nursing experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care
• Demonstrated longevity in past leadership roles
• Survey readiness and regulatory compliance experience
• Background in Joint Commission or state compliance oversight
