Our client, a premier data center service provider of cloud, colocation, managed services and DR, is looking for a motivated Sr. Azure Engineer to join their Professional Services team. The Professional Services team enables customers' digital transformation journeys with best practices, innovation and, technical leadership for adoption of our client's services.
As a Sr. Azure Engineer, you will play a key role in helping our clients achieve their digital transformation goals through the adoption of Azure cloud and managed services. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing technical consulting and guidance to customers on Azure adoption
Implementing solutions developed by our architecture team, including refining designs and delivering services
Supporting internal implementation and service delivery teams with best practice guidance
Coordinating cross-functional teams of engineering, operations, and service delivery to complete customer projects
Evaluate and validate customers' existing Cloud Subscriptions and provide recommendations
Evaluate potential business issues and design, develop, and present technical solutions based on their requirements
Act as an SME for the development and deployment of Azure cloud initiatives
Participating in the selection of software and toolkits that help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our Professional Services practice.

Experience working as an Azure Engineer for a manage service provider company
Strong track record with implementing Microsoft Azure Services, including adoption of Azure Native Services, Managed Services, design principles, Azure Cloud Adoption Framework, understanding their capabilities and limitations and being able to architect and deliver solutions leveraging various Azure services
Hand on experience performing large scale migrations from VMWare to Azure, and physical hardware to PaaS, IaaS Solutions.
Design and Implementation of High Availability, High Performance resilient solutions with Azure native solutions
Strong understanding of different attributes for cloud application availability, scalability and ability to propose optimized design for cloud
Ability to develop SOP's and challenge existing operational execution plans.
Strong technical acumen as it relates to assessing and transforming customer environments
Customer advocacy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
Appropriate certifications in Azure and associated Microsoft technologies (Ex. Azure solutions architect cert)
Experience in architecting, developing, and deploying enterprise applications, with Microsoft and/or VMWare technology stack preferred
Specialization in Networking, Security, and or Data Management is preferred
Experience in designing and deploying IAAS/PAAS solutions on Microsoft Azure platform and experience in workload migrations
ARM and/or Terraform
Understanding of Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Azure Polices & Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
