Job Description

The Medical Assistant supports the medical and nursing staff in providing care and comfort to infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and young adult patients during outpatient clinic appointments by performing routine clinical and clerical tasks. In addition, the Medical Assistant is responsible for phlebotomy and assisting with the application and removal of casts.

Required Skills & Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 3 months of employment)

* Medical terminology

* Must be comfortable working within an electronic medical record

* Current full vaccination status required (Covid + Flu as well)

* Phlebotomy experience, or willingness to learn

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting

* Successful completion of certified medical assistant program

* Medical Assistant certification
