Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Virtual Construction Manager to provide strong people leadership and day-to-day project oversight for a team of approximately 21 professionals, including several remote employees. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on knowledge of mechanical pipework and plumbing and will serve as a technical support resource to unblock teams, troubleshoot issues, and help resolve design- and construction-related challenges. This individual will stay closely engaged with daily production and project tracking, maintaining clear visibility into progress, risks, and issues across active workstreams.
The ideal candidate will be a traditional, experienced manager who focuses on people management, accountability, and project coordination rather than direct design execution. They will dig into day-to-day activities to ensure work is progressing as expected, identify and escalate issues early, and support the team through guidance and direction rather than doing the work on their behalf. Qualified candidates will bring 5+ years of design and construction experience along with 2–3 years of prior management experience leading a similarly sized team, with backgrounds across GC or construction firms considered.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ Years of experience in virtual construction management overseeing a staff of at least 15
5+ years of experience within construction and design
Proficiency with VC software Revit, Revizto, ProCore, and coordination platforms
Experience leading trade coordination and clash detection processes
