Job Description
A leading provider in the textile and hospitality industry is looking to add a Quoting Specialist to their team. This company works with all types of clients and provides a range of products including fabric window treatments, bedding, quilting, roller shades, and custom designs. The quoting specialist is responsible for managing all incoming quote emails and RFQs, serving as the initial point of contact for clients and internal teams. This role performs upfront fact‑finding by asking the right, brand‑specific questions, such as property type, design theme, build‑to and ship‑to locations, ADA room requirements, and preferred schemes. The quoting specialist creates and manages job numbers, maintains an accurate quote log in Excel and Epicor, and assigns each request to the appropriate quoter while tracking progress. All client communication is handled primarily via email, requiring strong written communication and attention to detail. Internally, the role works closely with a team of approximately five quoters to coordinate assignments and ensure requests are properly documented and routed. The position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to turn a high volume of incoming requests into a structured, well‑managed workflow, including monitoring related quoting and samples emails. Clients are supported by designated project managers, who may forward replacement or follow‑up requests to the quoting team. The role currently relies on Excel and Epicor, with a future transition to a CRM anticipated.
