Insight Global's client in the Environmental Consulting space is looking to add a Technician to their team in the St. Louis area. This environmental team has a focus in school based asbestos programs and services about 6 different districts in the STL area. An ideal Environmental Tech will help provide third party project oversight to Abatement Projects (removal, reduction, or containment of hazardous materials from buildings or environments to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations) and making sure the Abatement Contractors are operating efficiently. Technicians will typical handle one project at a time with lifecycles ranging from 6 weeks to just a couple days. Responsibilities are allocated by the Environmental Technician based on scheduling from the different school district clients and the Abatement Contracting companies. While on the job site, these techs biggest responsibility will be collecting air sampling. They will site up air monitors outside of the job site to take background samples to run for multiple hours. From those results they are able to assess what types of daily samples need to be completed and will run visual/final inspections.
