Job Description

Insight Global is looking to add a Cloud Test Engineer to the St. Louis, Denver, or Charlotte area. Our client is looking for someone who brings deep, hands‑on expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is far more engineering-focused than traditional QA—the organization needs a consultant who can assess current cloud testing maturity, identify architectural weaknesses, and elevate overall resiliency practices. This is a strategic, high‑impact position where you will directly advise engineering leadership, perform controlled failure testing (“chaos” scenarios), and guide teams through best practices for robust, cloud‑native operations. This role is 4 days on site and 1 remote in any of the 3 locations.

Required Skills & Experience

Extensive hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Deep background in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, or SRE.
Experience with resilience testing, chaos engineering, or distributed systems troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze complex cloud environments and recommend detailed technical improvements.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a consulting/lead capacity with technical and non‑technical teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Google Cloud Platform
Telecom industry experience
Experience with Octane
