Job Description

A growing Midwest Civil Construction company is looking to add 4 candidates to their safety team. Due to a large increase in projects awarded and a commitment to employee safety, these candidates will contribute to ensuring a safe working environment while complying with federal, state and local regulations.

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Conduct and review THA reports (task hazard analysis) with field crews
- Weekly meetings with the safety team to review status of employees across the company (knowing if they are on work comp, modified duties, etc.)
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Helping Field employees submit requests or issues with the HR Department
- Could involve taking employees to the doctor/physical therapy
Building relationship with field employees on the job site to ensure they feel supported and safe

Required Skills & Experience

Safety managers must have 3+ years of experience working in a safety role in the construction field
Computer skills (Microsoft suite)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- KPA software experience (third party safety program)
- Safety degree
- Civil construction background heavily preferred
Work zone safety experience
