Job Description
This role involves designing the layout and specifications of electrical and control systems, as well as creating drawing packages for clients as part of engineering design packages. Additionally, the role may include providing leadership/mentorship to other designers, taking on more responsibility for electrical and control packages, and managing project tasks.
• Maintain professional ethics in interactions with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data from the Engineer.
• Evaluate the project scope and inform project management of any changes during the design phase.
• Clarify any ambiguous, incomplete, or conflicting design information with the input provider.
• Verify design outputs to ensure they meet design inputs and standard industry practices.
• Implement design changes after documents are validated and inform project management of any resulting scope changes.
• Adhere to drafting and quality standards.
• Design electrical and control systems, creating drawings according to Jedson Engineering and/or client requirements.
• Routing of conduit and cable tray systems
• Drawing electrical one lines and electrical schematic drawings.
• 3D modelling is essential in addition to development of plan view drawings/details for the constructor to install.

Required Skills & Experience
- 1-15+ years of experience doing electrical design in Revit
o Preferably 3D modeling of cable trays, conduits, electrical/controls packages, etc.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of PDS EE Raceway, SmartPlant Electrical, and/or SKM
- Associates in drafting/design
- HUGE bonus – Bachelors in Drafting/Design
