A client of Insight Global is seeking to hire CAD Tech's to support their Transmission & Distribution Global Practice. This team is growing rapidly, and is seeking an eager individual to start as Technician that will eventually advance to a Designer role. This role will be working on a variety of power related projects utilizing AutoCAD and/or MicroStation for a variety of clients/projects - focusing in on the structural detailing side of things.
Additional Responsibilities:
Prepare new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.
Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.
Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.
Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.
Research solutions to project concerns and present solutions to design problems.
Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
