Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Jr to mid-level Quality Controls professional that is experienced in federal remedial construction projects. This individual will be supporting the Oronogo-Duenweg Mining Belt Superfund site, which is part of the TriState Mining District where mining, milling, and smelting of lead and zinc ore began in the mid1800s and continued for more than 100 years. The site consists of numerous mine waste areas spread across thousands of acres in western Jasper County, and part of northwest Newton County, Missouri. Former mining and smelting operations contaminated soil, groundwater, and surface water sediments with lead, zinc, and cadmium. Million tons of surface mining wastes contaminated thousandsof acres of the site.After initially detecting elevated heavymetal levels in mine waste, soil, groundwater, and sediment, the EPA has been collaborating with the state and the local community to clean up leadcontaminated areas for over three decades. As a Construction QC Specialist, you will work with the programmatic team and be responsible for field activities and will require responsibility for overall project safety performance.

Day to Day:
Oversee the performance of tasks, which ensure that construction is performed according to plans and specifications, on time, within a defined budget, and a safe work environment
Prepare and maintain Quality Control Documents
o Contractor Quality Control Daily Report, Contractor Production Report, Preparatory Phase Checklist, Initial Phase Checklist, Deficiency/Rework Items List, Testing Plan and Log, Submittal Register, Contractors Submittal Transmittal Form, AHAs.
Monitor project schedules and conduct preconstruction saftey meetings.
Prepare QC plans and host QC meetings.
Work with SSHO and saftey team to conduct and document daily safety inspections & activity hazard analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
4-8 YOE as Quality Control professional on environmental remediation construction projects.
o Where you have: Inspected, tested and document large scale soil excavations, backfill, and restoration, etc. activities.
Federal project experience with USACE, EPA, USAF, or similar agencies.
Familiarity with USACE EM-385
OSHA 40 & HAZWOPER
Excel & Word Proficiency
