Job Description
We are looking for an Application Owner (formerly called Domain Owner) to support the Ambulatory Patient Accounting space. This is not a build analyst, systems engineer, support analyst, or project manager role. The individual will serve as the functional owner responsible for discovery, evaluation, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and governance of ambulatory revenue cycle applications. The primary application owned will be Athena Collector (Athena's revenue cycle/patient accounting platform), which supports the majority of Ascension's ambulatory clinics nationally.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the Application Owner for Ambulatory Patient Accounting applications.
• Lead discovery efforts for new requests, enhancements, implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to understand business problems and define requirements.
• Evaluate existing application capabilities and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to develop high-level solution designs.
• Provide functional expertise throughout project lifecycles to ensure alignment with approved designs and standards.
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, architects, and development teams.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise strategy, technical standards, and application roadmap.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and timelines to stakeholders.
• Guide implementation teams from a functional perspective, but do not perform project management activities.
