Job Description
• On a day to day basis, this role develops and decomposes system architectures using model based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as SysML, Cameo, and MSOSA to define system behavior, interfaces, functions, and allocations across multiple domains. The Systems Engineer works closely with cross functional engineering teams to deliver technical solutions that meet program performance, cost, and schedule commitments, contributing to requirements development, architecture definition, trade studies, and interface management. Responsibilities include capturing system requirements, architecture, integration, and verification artifacts within the MBSE model; supporting technical design reviews; planning and supporting system integration and verification and validation (V&V) activities; identifying and managing system level risks; and coordinating with specialty engineering disciplines to support certification and lifecycle execution within a broader digital engineering environment.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM field
• 7+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 3+ years with a Master’s or PhD
• Prior Systems Engineering experience, including system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation
• Hands on experience with MBSE tools and methodologies (SysML, Cameo, MSOSA, or equivalent)
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary technical teams
• Secret Clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace platforms using MBSE
• Prior leadership in systems engineering or system architecture roles
• Strong ability to communicate architectural decisions and tradeoffs to stakeholders
• Familiarity with aircraft or flight systems and integration across mechanical, electrical, software, and mission systems
• Exposure to specialty engineering disciplines such as safety, reliability, maintainability, survivability, system security, and certification
