Surface ships topsides are some of the most complex real estates in the fleet – home to an array of critical combat, C5ISR, and HM&E systems that all need to work together seamlessly. Every radar, antenna, and weapon have a specific role to play, and the wrong placement or interference can compromise the ship’s mission. As an Integrated Topside Design (ITD) Engineer, you will be at the center of this challenge. Your work ensures that topside systems are located, integrated, and configured in a way that maximizes performance, maintains safety, and preserves force interoperability. From avoiding electromagnetic interference to enabling safe flight operations, your engineering decisions will directly impact operational effectiveness and mission readiness at sea.

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
BS in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Ocean, Systems, or related)
3+ years of general engineering experience.
1+ year of specialized experience in:
System Integration
E3 computation and modeling
EMI/EMC problem investigation and certification
RADHAZ testing and certification
Or relevant military operations (EMO, ETC/ETCS)
Ability to explain complex technical issues to varied audiences.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
Ability to travel less than 10-20% to support the contract
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with shipboard and deck operations, systems safety, and maintainability.
Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools for topside design.
Previous work in system integration on Navy or Coast Guard platforms.
Hands-on experience with E3 concepts and EMC/EMI mitigation techniques.
Strong technical writing and presentation skills for leadership and program offices.
Familiarity with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-1310, and MIL-STD-810.
