Job Description
An employer in Biloxi, MS is looking for a Jr. Mechanical Engineer to join their team in support of a federal contract the have over the next 7 years. In this role you will be responsible for:
* Performs the design and development of the construction drawings and develops specifications for MEP systems for construction or rehabilitation of existing structures.
* Evaluates projects to determine the most appropriate and economical systems to serve a facility.
* Prepares original design and preliminary and final layout of
MEP projects, including size, capacity, and economy.
* Participates in final on-site inspection.
* Performs contract related services such as writing scope of work, site surveys, contractor
selection, negotiations, construction performance monitoring, product design, design review
of internal and external A/E designs, and evaluation, inspection and acceptance of bids.
* Prepares detailed independent government estimates

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Must have an active EIT certification
- at least 6 months of experience within MEP design
- Can obtain a CAC card
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Facility design experience
- DoD design experience
