Job Description

Responsible for providing comprehensive technical reviews and updates to PCBAs and fabrication packages to ensure manufacturability, supply chain alignment, and design quality. Executes, reviews, and approves PCB and PCBA fabrication and assembly files within an Engineering Change Control System. Supports initial builds of PCBAs and electromechanical medical devices through design reviews, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations. Offers strategic direction to Electrical and Manufacturing Engineers during transitions to manufacturing, and guides PCB Designers on design updates to enhance manufacturability. Advises technicians on best practices and troubleshooting methods, while establishing standards for transitioning complex PCBAs to internal manufacturing to reduce costs and accelerate production. Plays a key role in product development from concept to commercial manufacturing, aligning design complexity with organizational capabilities. Manages design changes for obsolete or high-risk components and resolves electrical failures in new product introductions, recommending design improvements to prevent recurrence. Mentors engineering staff to strengthen technical knowledge in electrical engineering and PCBA manufacturing, and collaborates with test engineers to develop automation and testing best practices. Consistently identifies innovative opportunities to add value beyond project scope, enhancing both company operations and customer outcomes.
