Job Description

We are seeking an Oracle Hyperion Platform Engineer to support and enhance its global financial systems environment. This individual will focus on the technology and infrastructure side of the Oracle platform (not business-user support), owning system performance, integrations, and ongoing platform reliability.
This role is critical due to a significant reduction in team capacity, and the selected candidate must be able to operate independently and contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities (Outcome-Based)
• Maintain and optimize the Oracle Hyperion environment (HFM & EPM/Planning/S-Base) to ensure stability, uptime, and performance across global financial systems
• Execute and manage patching, upgrades, and system enhancements in an on-premise Oracle environment
• Monitor and improve system performance, availability, and reliability, proactively identifying risks or inefficiencies
• Support and maintain data integrations and workflows between Oracle systems and upstream/downstream applications (e.g., ERPs, Workiva automation layer)
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical platform issues end-to-end, without reliance on escalation for basic issues
• Manage and support automation processes and recurring financial system operations tied to monthly cycles
• Partner with internal technology leadership to support infrastructure, security, and change management controls
• Collaborate with the Oracle vendor on technical support, patches, and environment updates
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer to support long-term platform sustainability

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle Hyperion environments, specifically:
○ Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
○ Hyperion EPM / Planning / Essbase
• Experience working in an on-premise Oracle environment (not exclusively cloud-based)
• Demonstrated ability to support end-to-end system ownership (not just L1/ticket-based support)
• Strong experience with:
○ System patching, upgrades, and environment management
○ Performance monitoring and system optimization
○ Integrations and data flows across financial systems
• Exposure to automation tooling and processes within financial systems environments
• Ability to operate independently and troubleshoot issues without heavy oversight
• Strong understanding of infrastructure-level support vs. functional/business support

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting both HFM (consolidation) and EPM/Planning (FP&A) modules
• Exposure to Workiva or similar financial reporting/automation platforms
• Experience integrating with Oracle EBS or other ERP systems
• Familiarity with global financial systems and accounting/reporting workflows
• Prior experience in an environment with full ownership of Oracle infrastructure (security, patching, change control)
• Blend of on-prem + cloud exposure (with strong foundational on-prem experience)
• Experience in high-autonomy roles where minimal oversight was required
• Experience developing or supporting system integrations, ETL solutions

• Familiarity with advanced data visualization tools, specifically Power BI and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate)
