Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a Modeling Applications team responsible for developing and supporting business-critical applications used by researchers, sales teams, and product experts. This individual will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of proof-of-concept (POC) tools, simulation applications, and internal platforms that support multiple business domains.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, particularly C# and .NET development, and be comfortable working across desktop and web-based applications within an Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Build and enhance software solutions supporting engineering calculations, simulations, and business modeling tools.
• Develop performant, scalable applications with a strong focus on memory management and code optimization.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and fellow Developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Integrate applications with SQL databases and APIs.
• Support both desktop-based and web-based application development initiatives.
• Contribute to rapid proof-of-concept projects and solution prototypes.
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement improvements for performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, application architecture, and software design principles.
• Experience with SQL Server and writing database queries/stored procedures.
• Experience developing applications within the Microsoft technology stack.
• Strong understanding of application performance optimization and memory management.
• Experience working with Azure services and cloud-based application architectures.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) desktop application development.
• Experience with Angular development.
• Full-stack development experience across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience supporting engineering, scientific, research, or simulation-based applications.
• Experience working on proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and rapid prototyping projects.
• Exposure to multiple industry domains such as manufacturing, water, chemical, food & beverage, mining, or industrial operations.
• Experience working with distributed teams and global stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices.
