Job Description
An employer is looking for a highly skilled Audit Prep Consultant to join one of our largest national healthcare clients for a remote contract opportunity. In this role you'll join a growing team and work to build account reconciliations specifically within this client's equity and debt divisions and own the audit and tax coordination process in preparation for their busy audit season in March 2026. In order to be successful on this team you must have prior experience working within an ambiguous environment and working cross functionally across team members and stakeholders. You must be comfortable taking ownership of new processes and take the initiative to seek advice and feedback. This team is currently using Great Plains, therefore any prior experience working with that software will help you be successful; however, they're in the process of migrating to Sage. This is a remote role, but you must be comfortable working CST or EST time zone. This is a contract through April of 2026 with the potential to convert to a permanent employee based on need and budget.

Required Skills & Experience
-10 years of experience working within accounting/finance/auditing or a related field
-Prior experience working within an ambiguous environment and taking initiative to hit deliverables and define processes
-Ability to head up and run projects - particularly building account reconciliations
-Experience creating, completing, reviewing account reconciliations for special Account Reconciliation project.
-Prior experience working with CPA firms for tax audit prep
-Accounting system transition experience a plus ( this team is currently migrating from Great Plains to Sage Intacct)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior healthcare or senior living industry experience
