Job Description

We’re seeking a Mid-Level Acoustician to support environmental and architectural acoustics projects throughout the United States. This role focuses primarily on industrial acoustical modeling—analyzing and designing solutions for noise sources such as HVAC systems, turbines, and engines—though experience with traffic noise modeling is a plus. The position involves assisting technical tasks, reviewing work, coordinating with project managers, and supporting multiple fluctuating projects ranging from small-scale assessments to large utility builds. There are reoccurring staff meetings, and collaboration with a national practice lead. Strong multitasking, communication, and task management skills are essential. We can pay between $36.53 - $52.40 per hour.

Required Skills & Experience

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Acoustics, Math, Physics, or a closely related field
• 5 -9 years of experience in acoustical analysis
• Proven track record in marketing, project management, client satisfaction, and business development

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with GIS
• Skilled in state-of-the-art software for noise and vibration data analysis
• Work in Revit
• Knowledge of relevant ISO and acoustical standards
Understanding of current guidance documents (Examples: FHWA, FTA, FRA, UFC, etc.)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with Larson Davis instrumentation and software
•Preference given to local candidates
•Demonstrated involvement in environmental projects requiring Federal Transit Administration for risk evaluation or mitigation planning
